This 17th century, Grade II listed bungalow-style cottage is situated in a peaceful rural village. Easily accessible, (by; road via M6/Junction 40; rail to Penrith; coach to Penrith), the cottage is just 7 miles west of the bustling market town of Penrith and provides a quiet retreat, but with convenient access to Ullswater (5 miles), vibrant Keswick on Derwentwater, the tranquil Caldbeck Fells and the Eden Valley.

The accommodation benefits from oil fired central heating and comprises lounge/diner overlooking landscaped gardens with distant views over open fields to the Pennines. Facilities include colour TV (plus digital FreeView) with VCR/DVD. Separate kitchen with electric hob and oven, fridge/freezer and microwave. Bedroom with 2 single beds. Ultra-modern shower room with washbasin and WC. All just perfect after a hard days graft in the hills. All fuel, electricity and bed linen provided. Cot available.

Outside lies a large delightful garden (including wishing well!) with an abundance of flora/fauna. Garden furniture available. Off-road private parking for one car.

Please note that the garden is occasionally shared with the owners. The cottage is detached, and although in close proximity to the old farm house, all is very hospitable and privacy will be respected.

Within 12 minutes walking distance, in the adjacent hamlet of Penruddock, there is a traditional "Jennings" pub/restaurant ( http://www.herdwickinn.com/ ). The village of Greystoke, just a 3 minute drive away offers a Post Office/general stores, pub food, church and public swimming pool. Horse riding and other outdoor activities are available nearby at Troutbeck.
